Jude Lancaster

Jude Lancaster: (MA HRM, FCIPD) is an experienced and effective HR strategist and equality and diversity adviser.

Her work in these fields spans three decades during which time she has supported a wide range of both large and small public, private and community and voluntary sector organisations. She held the post of HR Strategist at Kirklees Council for 10 years and led their employment-related diversity strategy. Over the past five years, she has worked closely with the LSC/SFA and Yorkshire Forward to support BME-led voluntary organisations to deliver learning and skills in the most deprived communities of West Yorkshire. Her specialisms include research and evaluations, strategy and policy development and coaching in people management, change management, organisational development, conflict management, team building and leadership development. She is a lay member of the Employment Tribunal.

David Dowse has 30 years experience in human resources, as a manager, board member and policy maker.

Working mainly in large public authorities, where equalities and diversity were high on the agenda, he has practical experience of successfully delivering business objectives. He specialises in contract evaluation, TUPE and commercial issues; trade union and employee relations; grievance and discipline; and selection assessment. He sits as a Special Member (Race) on Employment Tribunals and as an Independent Member on the West Yorkshire Police Authority Misconduct Panel and has supported a number of voluntary organisations.

Lynne Harris

Lynne Harris is a highly experienced black youth and community worker with over 20 years experience of field work and management of informal and community education, including early years provision, youth development projects, employment and training initiatives, organisation development and project management within community settings.

She has extensive experience of working with disadvantaged groups, of promoting good practice and anti-discriminatory practice in the broad fields of youth and community at local, regional and national level. She was responsible for the development of a national network of women workers in the field of crisis support and social/care work with abuse survivors.

Neale Myers (BSc, DHP) is a highly skilled IT and multi-media specialist with an excellent track record in developing user friendly websites and marketing material to promote one off events and developing businesses.

He is highly knowlegeable and skilled in social media strategies. He is an award winning marketing strategist and highly skilled video producer with expertise in providing high quality video for a wide ranging client base with a background in marketing, merchandising, graphic design and web design.

Laiqa Sheikh

Laiqa Sheikh is currently working for the Open College Network in Wakefield and undertakes consultancy work in her spare time.

Until recently, she was a senior lecturer in the School of Teaching, Health and Social Care at Bradford College, responsible for teaching community development and teacher education on the F.E. programme. Her teaching programme included: Teacher Training, Race and Cultural Studies, Multiculturalism, Religious Studies, Community work/Social work, Social Inequality, Interpersonal and Communication Skills, Professional Studies, Anti-racism and Education, Ethnic Relations and Dealing with Diversity. She has an in-depth knowledge of the Bradford community organisation arena and works locally, nationally and internationally to promote equal opportunities and to challenge discrimination.

Linda Bye: (MBA, PGCE, BA (Econ), Diploma in Leadership Coaching, Advanced International Diploma in Coaching (NLP) ) is an expert professional with extensive experience managing and supporting improvement for people and organisations in the public, private and charity sectors, for over thirty years.

She moved from secondary school teaching to the post-16 Further Education sector and into senior management as Director of Quality, then Head of Business & Professional Studies in two colleges. She spent five years as manager in the Learning and Skills Development Agency (LSDA) national Quality Improvement service for the Learning and Skills sector, providing effective training, development and support for 280 consultants who were supporting providers throughout the UK to improve their results. For the last five years she has worked as a freelance consultant conducting performance coaching, training and consultancy assignments for managers and staff in a range of contexts.

Linda Bye
M. Ibrahim

M. Ibrahim started his career in the Aviation industry in 1980 working at different airfields in the UK.

He then trained to become a Careers Adviser, working for various Local Education Authorities and also worked for Education Bradford as a Governor Development Officer, where he developed and delivered all aspects of training to school governors on governance matters. He is currently working at the West Bowling Community Advice &Training Centre as the Business Development Manager. Ibrahim has wide and extensive experience of community work locally and nationally, but his particular interest has been equality, diversity and education. He has achieved MSc Cert. in Diversity Management in 2008. He is a Trainer with NIACE delivering Faith Community Development accredited qualifications. He has served on Governing Bodies and has gained many awards for outstanding contribution as a Community Governor. He has a very longstanding involvement with Feversham College, and has been Chair of Governors for the last 10 years. The highlight of his achievements has been securing the Voluntary Aided Status Funding for Feversham College (First Muslim Girls Secondary School in the country). He is regularly consulted on issues of Faith Schools both locally and nationally.

Heather Levene: ( MA, PGCE) Up until September 2008, Heather was a senior lecturer at Bradford College and course leader of the Post Graduate Certificate in Education.

Prior to that, she headed an Access to Higher Education course at Huddersfield College for several years. As a qualified social worker and youth and community worker, she has had many years experience of working in the statutory and voluntary sector in a wide range of jobs which included Equal Opportunities Policy Officer for Calderdale Council. She is currently part of the team at Lancaster Consulting and is a part time placement assessor for a social work course.

Eileen Windridge

Eileen Windridge: (MA, MCIPD, DTLLS) worked in the public sector for many years, leading the equality and diversity function at Manchester City Council before moving to a generic post as their Team Leader in Employee Resourcing.

She worked for Merseyside Police as their Recruitment and Resourcing Manager before moving into freelance consultancy and working as an Associate Lecturer at Southport College. Eileen’s passions are supporting supervisors and managers to reach their full potential and helping organisations get to grips with their responsibilities under equality legislation. Eileen is BPS qualified in Psychometric testing and an ABC qualified Coach.
